The Charity Intelligence assessment investigates financial metrics and transparency, rewarding those with the most effective use of donations.
Micah joined Trails as a participant in 1996. After graduating, Micah continued to maintain a close relationship to the Trails family. She became a Trails bursary recipient, a part-time employee as a youth Facilitator and a graduate Mentor.
Deeply inspired by her Trails experience, Micah studied International Development Studies then went on to become an elementary school teacher, a yoga instructor and natural health practitioner. With her combination of skills she began a wellness and education business called Balance First Workshops. She shares her mindfulness practices and yoga with students in the TDSB and at the Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women’s Empowerment.
